The house has 3 large bedrooms, a huge lounge/dining/kitchen area, and a large bathroom with a second toilet in the laundry.

Heating, although rarely required in this climate, is with a reverse cycle airconditioner, but the design of the house with the large glass areas, high ceilings and cross ventilation keep the house comfortable without using it.

There is a large solar hotwater system installed, with the added assistance of an electric power booster, which is sometimes required ((very rarely) with heavy hot water usage during several days of cloudy weather.

The main bedroom opens onto a large covered deck overlooking the gardens, and is an ideal place to sit and enjoy life........

The gardens are quiet and peaceful and provide a private space to spend time.

The yard includes a cubby for the younger ones and it is very popular with them.

This house is a great place to spend time, and is quiet and private, but only a few minutes from shops and the water.

The Area:

Erowal Bay is a small sleepy village on the waters edge a few kilometres from Vincentia and Huskison.

The closest villages are HYAMS BEACH and WRIGHTS BEACH, both a short walk away.

Unlike much of the Jervis Bay area, which is becoming increasingly popular and is quickly being developed,

it is unlikely that Erowal Bay will grow very much, and yet it is so close to everything.

Surrounded by bush and water, at the end of a short road, it is a perfect holiday retreat.

This delightful property, known as HideAway, awaits you and your family.

Erowal Bay is approximately 3 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra.

The area

Erowal Bay is a small village within the Jervis Bay area.
Originally an old fishing village it still retains a small village local charm.
Surrounded by the water of St Georges Basin it is the perfect place for sailing, fishing, kayaks etc.
Nearby are the perferct white sand beaches of Hyams Beach, Murrays Beach and numerous others within nearby Booderree National Park.
The villages of Huskisson and Vincentia offering cafes, restaurants, shopping, dolphin & whale watching, beaches, bays, bushwalks, cinema etc and are 10 minutes away.

What a beautiful house. The first thing I saw when we arrived was the gorgeous back porch. I could picture myself lazing on the couch just enjoying the quiet or listening to the kookaburras. The house was more than ample for the 2 of us and was a real treat coming from the city where tiny apartments are the norm. The decor is simple yet artistic and doesn't fall into the cliched "seashells & blue ocean bedspread" theme so many holiday houses in the area have.

Everything we needed was there - the coffee machine (big hit), the dart board on the porch, cutlery and crockery galore.

After 2 days at HideAway, I didn't want to come home. Brooke - March 2008
